Anyone that knows me, pretty much knows that I HEART CUPCAKES! So when I asked to do some wedding cupcakes, of course I jumped at the chance! Why wouldn't I. Alison who is the spunky oldest daughter of my co-worker Susan asked me to do some cupcakes for her wedding instead of a wedding cake. I had made Alison a Hello Kitty cake for her 26th birthday (at least I think it was her 26th birthday). She enjoyed the Hello Kitty cake so much that she asked me do cupcakes for her wedding, I was totally honored. Now I'm not the best cake decorator but I can make some mean cupcakes. What people tend to forget its really about the cake and not necessarily the frosting. Now I have has some great cake and some great frosting in my life time but I have also had the most nastiest cake and the super nastiest frosting. So I thought to myself I can so make a good cake and some pretty damn fantastic frosting too! Not to toot my own horn, but I can since this is my blog, ha! Anyway this is what I created for Alison's wedding. I made chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter buttercream (let me just tell you that peanut butter buttercream was the biz-omb!), vanilla cupcakes with strawberry buttercream (uh the strawberry buttercream was so good it made you want to slap your momma, I'm not kidding. Even though I love my momma dearly and I would never in a million years slap her because if I did you wouldn't be reading this!) and vanilla cupcakes with vanilla buttercream (which the vanilla leaves nothing to the imagination because its VANILLA). I was even invited to attend the wedding which was the most intimate affair that I have ever attend so thanks Alison! I had a blast, and I really enjoyed my Parmesan crusted tilapia!
